I am a technical content creator and designer with more than thirty years experience. My specialities are technical documentation and illustration, online help and hypermedia-based information systems, information architecture and design, training materials and courseware, and multimedia scripts and narration.

In my life before computers, I worked as a boatbuilder, sailboat charter and delivery skipper, taught sailing, wrote and photographed articles for sailing magazines, and did extensive offshore and inshore sailboat racing. In and around my work in the marine industry, I spent a dozen or so years doing live theater and performance art in the New England area.

When I’m not writing about computer hardware and software, I enjoy playing with my kids, grandkidlets, and dogs, experimenting with photography, listening to music, and writing short stories, scripts, and poems.
